In Pad Printing the
silicone pads were first used in 1968 in industrial
application by TAMPOPRINT AG Germany. The shape of Tampon or
Pad used is curved so that the air is gradually displaced.
These shapes have no fixed geometry. Generally the harder the
pad, letter the print quality. However the selection depends
on shape of printing substrate, the surface and the image
design.
The most important point is the maximum printing pressure of
the machine. Tampoprint AG’s mechanical machines exert maximum
pressure.
However if the substrate is soft then very hard cannot be
used. By careful selection of pads ever products like eggs,
apples, glass, and delicate ceramics can also be printed. We
have experienced to print balls also by this careful
selection.
Pad selection involves
roughly selecting the shape, size hardness and then by trials.
Selection of Pads
If you are a professional than the
selection can be made yourself however if you feel uncertain
please send us the following to help your selection.

For 100% transfer the following things
will affect quality.

needed)

-
Hardness
of pad
-
“Roll

60˚)
-
Tip
or Vertex of Pad (Never sharp)
-
Pressure
of pad on machine (adjustable).
-
Mixture
of ink with solvent.

Problems
In case of use of inks which
are two components the inks start reacting chemically in a few
hours then the printing gets affected
